--> DANCE

The girls have begun a new unit on Dance for their skills day.  They began by learning three new short dances:  "Eddie the Razor", "Marching Circus" and "Motion-Motion".  With these dances, the girls have continued to work on the skills of flexibility, coordination and cooperation.  The dances include fun new moves like "the funky fish" and the "ophea hand jive" ... SO FUN!
 

March, 2012 update:

For the last 3 weeks the girls have had the opportunity to work with volunteer Miss Paige who created a choreographed dance for the girls to learn.  Each week Miss Paige warmed up with the girls and they practiced what they had learned the previous weeks.

The girls were given the opportunity to ask questions and clarify any moves that they were unsure of, before adding the week’s new steps.  At the end of the third session the girls had learned all of the steps to their dance and they are looking forward to a mini-performance for the younger girls in the beginning of the April.  Way to Go Girls!!
